The boys had their well-child doctor appointment this afternoon. Both are very healthy!

Evan weighed in at 36(ish) pounds and.... oh man, I can't remember how tall he is! All I remember is that he's in the 15th percentile for height and 45th percentile for weight and his BMI is absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of normal/healthy.

Sean weighed in at 56(ish) pounds and 48 inches. His BMI is also absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of normal/healthy.

And when the pediatrician asked them miscellaneous safety & awareness questions that a 4 & 7 year old should be able to answer, they answered them all perfectly, making Dan & I look like rock-star parents! Things like what to do if there's a fire and if they wear seatbelts in the car and helmets on the bike and if they eat fruits and/or veggies with each meal...

The flu-mist and vaccinations were a nightmare. An absolute nightmare! When the nurse came in with the flu mist, Sean flipped out and covered his face and wouldn't let the nurse near him. This led Evan to begin flipping out and screeching -- and at one point he held his hand up between the nurse and Sean, as though he was trying to protect his brother. In the end, it took two nurses and myself to hold Sean down for his flu mist. Then, because Sean was so out of control, Evan was out of control (I think he would've been fine if it hadn't been for watching Sean flip out). So therefore, it took two nurses and myself to hold him down for his flu mist and his four vaccinations (and he was done crying from all that before Sean was done crying from his flu mist).

Both boys are officially fully vaccinated until the age of 11 now! Those were Evan's kindergarten shots (!).

I did warn Sean that if he flips out about the flu mist again next year, I will have them do the shot instead. He's definitely not okay with that so.....
