The Evanator had his first eye appointment last night. He did AWESOME! He sat stiller than I've ever seen the kid sit while conscious. It was weird...  We learned last night that he's not color blind by any stretch. He saw everything in those little picture thingies. He is, however, a bit far-sighted. We don't know how much though, so he has to go back next Thursday and have his eyes uber dilated so the doctor can get some measurements to determine if glasses are necessary. I admit, there's a small part of me that hopes he has to wear glasses because I think little kids in glasses are just ridiculously adorable, HAHA! But mostly, I just want his eyes to be healthy, however that happens. 

Sean had his annual eye exam last night too. He rocked it. His eyes are working just fine, other than the fact that he's color blind. Where Evan could see numbers in the little pictures, Sean could see nothing but circles. He doesn't know brown from green or blue from purple. And I think there's a confusion with some reds too, but I'm not clear on that. The optometrist isn't a bit concerned though, and I can rest easy knowing my kid will never grow up to work on a bomb squad.
