Me, Kerry, Sarah, Katy, and Jessica (Katy's daughter) at the top of the Sable Point Lighthouse

Friday night was my annual girls trip to Silver Lake. That trip never disappoints. We had fabulous weather, as we have every other year we've gone, and the company was delightful. Before we went to the dunes, while we were waiting for Danielle to get there, four of us climbed the Sable Point Lighthouse (which earned me like 8-10 flights of stairs on my Fitbit). The view from the top was really cool.

After Danielle arrived, we took the pontoon across the lake to spend the afternoon on the Dunes. I so love the Dunes. Kerry and I climbed to the top again this year (which earned me another 16 flights of stairs).

That was, of course, followed by dinner and drinks, and gossiping around the bonfire on the beach until around 1:30am.... then sleeping until after 9am.

It was a short trip -- we got there around 11:30 Friday morning and left around 10am Saturday morning. I would've loved another day, but it was sufficient for getting our girl-time fix. Love these girls!!!

Me, Liz, Alessa, Colin, and Mike
This morning, I got up at zero-dark-thirty (aka 5:45am!) to be to my friend Liz's house by 6:30 so we could meet some other friends (whom I'd never met) for a team marathon relay. I wasn't originally on the team, but one girl couldn't run due to an injury so Liz asked if I could take that girl's place. Sure, why not! Each team member ran 5.25 miles, for a grand total of 26.2(ish) miles --- a full marathon. (Does this mean I can now say I've participated in a marathon?! Haha!).

Anyway, I was the second runner, and I ran my stretch in 1:03:21. It was a personal record for me (YAY!!), but I was the slowest of the five of us, haha! Our total team time was 4:37:17. It was totally fun! And it was actually a gorgeous run, so I kinda want to go back there and run it again, just for a training run.
