Saturday, Sean had his second basketball class, where I can honestly say I'm seeing improvement! He's becoming slightly more coordinated with his dribble (though he could still stand to practice that part), he's not doing underhanded shots anymore, and he's hitting the basket more often than not, with the shots he's taking! He's also passing and catching the ball with ease. After several ultrasounds and infant appointments documenting how short Sean is and explaining that we're not expecting an NBA star, is it possible I'll be eating my words in the not-so-distant future? Haha!!
After basketball, I went to Kerri's baby shower! My friend Kerri who lost her twin girls, Paige & Hope mid-pregnancy back in 2007. She is now 30+ weeks pregnant with a little girl, Ellie, who is due in December. Kerri looks lovely! She does pregnancy with much more beauty and grace than I ever did, that's for sure.
Today was the MSU Dinosaur Dash -- a benefit for the MSU Museum. It was a blast! I ran a 5K, Sean ran a 200 meter sprint for kids 6 & under, and Evan "ran" a Diaper Dash for kids 2 & under.
I did well with the 5K, especially considering how cold it was (it was probably in the high 30's at race time). My official time today was 35:44, beating my previous best time by 20 seconds (previous best was 36:04). I was 33/59 in my age group and 602/790 overall. In other words: I wasn't last!!!!
