| Ryann, Kerry, and myself having fun in the photo booth Wednesday evening |
I think this year was one of my all-time favorite conferences though: it was our organization's 30th anniversary, so we did some special activities in celebration, which was super fun! Registration (my baby) ran smoothly from start to finish (though I do have some follow-up to do in the coming weeks). I was elected Treasurer of the Board for the 2012-13 year (EEEEK! I'm an officer!!). I went ziplining again, and this time I actually hung upside down -- no hands -- it was a blast! I had no less than 10 people comment on how much weight I've lost since they last saw me (most of which was last year). I scored a few fun things in the silent auction. I danced until almost 1am Thursday night. And I got to hang out a lot with my bestest friend because she came too (we were roommates, of course).
As much fun as it was, I was more than ready to come home today. I missed my boys something fierce. Unfortunately, the feeling wasn't totally mutual, haha! When I showed up at after-care to pick up Sean, he looked at me, shook his head "no" and walked the other way (all this after not having seen me for three days). OUCH! He was enjoying his one-on-one bonding time with Daddy way too much to want me & Evan back home crowding him. And then Evan.... when I walked into Pat's to get him, he was excited to see me, for sure, which was awesome! But as soon as we walked in the door at home, he started saying, "I want Daddy! I want Daddy!" (He spent the week at Mom's so it's not like he saw Dan any more than he saw me this week though, so I can get that).
We had a fun evening though. We played hard and both boys went down fairly easily (as I'm about to).
Next order of business: de-binkification (!). Pray for us.
