We had some pretty good thunderstorms roll through here this evening, and they brought with them....
...ducks.
And hail. But mostly just ducks. Mallards to be exact.
This boy-girl team was wandering around our yard during & after the storms. Of course I had to drop everything and run for the camera because it's not often we see ducks in our yard -- they were a long dang way from the river, that's for sure.
But they seemed happy enough. She dug around and splashed in the puddles, he just kind of stood by watching. My guess is that they've been married for awhile because I'm pretty sure she was doing the duck version of shopping and he was doing the duck version of waiting around for his wife to be done shopping. All that was missing was him holding her coat & purse.
