Winter has left the building. FINALLY! Today it was 70's and gorgeous for the most part -- oddly enough, we still have snow piles here & there, despite the consistently higher temps, but whatever. It's mostly gone.
I decided today would be a great day to take the boys somewhere fun that involved being outside. Mom suggested a farm which advertised a "Lamb Festival" where kids could hold a baby lamb -- Dan wanted to work on his garage. Sounds good to me. So after we were dressed & ready, we left. Got a couple miles from the house and remembered that I'd forgotten a memory stick for the camera. Turned around, stopped back home and grabbed it.
Then realized I'd forgotten to grab some cash. No problem -- we could run by an ATM. Except there was no ATM near where we were going. No problem -- I could stop at Meijer and buy something small and use debit to get cash back.
Got to the checkout with a pack of Starburst (which the boys really wanted!) and realized I'd forgotten my whole dang wallet. Great. Just.... just great.
Thankfully Kerry saved the day, acting as my own personal ATM -- we weren't far from her house and she had cash I could borrow. Geesh.
The farm/Lamb Festival was actually pretty fun! A lamb was born about 1/2 hour before we got there, so we got to see a brand new baby. He was adorable! We also rode a tractor-train, fed the lambs & goats, and the boys had their faces painted.
After that, we headed out toward Mom's to a city playscape. We picked up McDonalds beforehand and had lunch at the park.
Then we came home where the boys got to play with Sophia for a little bit, while she was visiting next door.
I honestly have no idea how I'm even awake still right now. It was a full day for all of us....
Oh heck, I suppose as long as I'm awake, I'll post these pictures too! The boys and I went to Kim's last night so they could play with Myra and I could get a baby fix. Turns out, they wanted a baby fix too and both asked to feed Nathan when I was feeding him. SO cute!
