HA!
Kerry dropped Jackson off Saturday afternoon at 4:30, Sean was puking off the top bunk by 8:30, and I was on the road to take Jackson home by 9:30 Saturday night. Sleepover FAIL!
Sean had gotten sick two more times while I was taking Jackson home (thankfully in a bucket this time). And thus beginneth Puke-a-palooza 2014.
Unfortunately because Sean didn't have a bucket for Round 1, the boys' bedroom became what Dan called The Vomitorium. It needed to be thoroughly cleaned and aired out, which meant no one could sleep in there Saturday night. So we put Sean up in our bed and I was going to sleep with him; Evan was on his cot in the livingroom; and Dan was in the Star Wars room. I lasted about two hours in bed with Sean before I had to go downstairs to the futon, because Sean was sleeping so restlessly and kicking me. I felt bad leaving him alone while sick, but he had a bucket and he knew how to use it.
Sean seemed much better yesterday, only getting sick a couple times in the afternoon (probably because he ate/drank too much too quickly out of hunger & thirst). The Vomitorium was cleaned and sanitized, so we put the boys back in their room last night, but Sean slept on the bottom bunk so he could have a bucket, while Evan had his first night in the top bunk. He almost made it through the whole night without getting sick too, until 4am rolled around and blech! And again at 5:30. Poor baby.
Thankfully, Sean's been okay since 5:30am. Dan stayed home with him today while I went to work, and he gave Sean nibbles of bland food and sips of G2 throughout the day, while building Legos and watching Star Wars with him (my husband is a total rock star, just in case anyone wonders....).
We're keeping Sean home one more day tomorrow so we can monitor his eating -- make sure he can eat normally without getting sick. So I'm Momming up tomorrow and taking a sick day. My turn for a Lego day!!!
