I seriously have to do better at keeping up. I've been doing this for 8 years now -- too late to stop now, haha!
I'm not gonna lie: I haven't been unbearably busy since my last blog entry. It's just that, I've had my nose in a book. And I'm not typically a pleasure-reader, but when I do get into a book, I seem to get all the way into a book, so that any free time I have is spent reading and not blogging. This time, I was reading The Help, which was very difficult to put down. I have no idea how I haven't read it before now. But I'm done so I think I'll wait a bit to pick up another book.
So last week, Grandma & AJ were both released from the hospitals, only to have Grandpa admitted this past Sunday. Because apparently he wanted to join the party (?). HAHA! He's home now and going to be okay, but wow. My family is becoming way too familiar with the dang hospitals.
Friday, Mom kept the boys overnight so Dan & I could have a date night. Except it was Valentines Day so we didn't dare try to go to eat. And so, we ended up staying here at home. Cooking fish, veggies, and mashed potatoes and watching TV. It was romance at its finest, and we didn't even clean house!
Saturday Sean had a birthday party to go to. He had fun and enjoyed the cake with blue icing....
Monday was Presidents Day so I didn't have work and Sean didn't have school. I kept Evan home and the three of us went to see Frozen in the theater. It was released in November and is still a highly-attended movie. And Monday, I saw why. It. Was. Fantastic! Probably my favorite Disney movie of all time.
It was also Evan's very first-ever movie theater experience. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture because the previews were already started by the time we got there, and it was a mostly-full theater, so we were wedged into seats next to other people. There was just no room (or light) to take pictures, which bums me out :-(. He was adorable though! The movie kept his attention for the most part. He became antsy about 20-30 minutes before the end, and said he didn't want to sit in his seat anymore. But he happily climbed into my lap where he sat quietly until the end of the movie. I would say it was a success!
