Wednesday
• The boys woke up ridiculously early. Dan & I, on the other hand, slept in (Thanks, family!!). Dan got up before me though, and let me sleep in. (Thanks, Dan!)
• We swam. And swam some more. The boys loved it!
• We went to the Orlando Outlet mall and putzed around there for a few hours.
• Ummmm... I can't remember what else we did that day. Which is good because that probably means we just did a lot of nothing (aka: relaxing).
• Mom, Cathy, and I sat in the hot tub after the boys went to bed, and drank wine and talked. For like an hour! I slept super good that night.
Thursday
• The boys woke up pre-6am. Ridiculously. Early. I blame vacation excitement.
• Dan & I and the boys went to Downtown Disney. It wasn't too crowded when we got there (around 9am-ish), but was insanely crowded by the time we left (noonish, I think).
• I wanted Earl of Sandwich for lunch, but the line was super duper long. Wahhhh!
• We went to the Christmas store to order personalized ornaments for Kerry to give her boys for Christmas. Found out that pick-up time wasn't until after 3:30pm.
• Went back to the house so Evan could have a much-needed nap (he only got two naps this week and this was the second one). Dan & I later went back to Davidsons of Dundee to stock up on marmalades, jellies, and jams (oh my!). And citrus delicacies.
• Then we went back to Downtown Disney to pick up the ornaments. All the parking lots were full and we had to park way down at the opposite end from where we wanted to be. I needed steps on my Fitbit anyway.
• I got my Earl of Sandwich for dinner!!! About dang time!
Friday
• The boys wouldn't wake up for anything. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10:15. I'm pretty sure on this day, they would've slept till 10:10 if I'd let them.
• We got to the airport like 7:45am. But Mom, Cathy, Grandpa, Grandma, Sean, and Evan were TSA-pre-cleared. Dan & me? Nope. We look guilty, apparently. And so...
• Mom, Cathy, Grandpa, Grandma, Sean, and Evan went through the fast line at security. Dan & Me? Nope. We waited in the long cluster-f... known as MCO security. We waited about 20 minutes or so to get through the ID check, then another 25 minutes to get through the bag check. It's very hard to explain what pissed me off the most, but let's just say we had to physically push our way into the bag check line because there was no merging from our ID check line into the bag check line. ARGH!!
• Leave it to me to forget I stashed a can of Dew in my bag (thinking Dan would drink it on the way to the airport), thus causing us to get pulled aside by security and making them rescan my bag. Go Amy.
• We made it to our gate with about 15-20 minutes to spare. Got to pre-board with Grandpa & Grandma. Sat at the very back of the plane. Had a VERY nice flight attendant named Ronald, who was beyond awesome (note to self: write letter to Delta about Ronald).
• Evan did MUCH better on the flight home. Then again, he sat next to Dan on the flight home, where he sat next to me on the flight down. He's always better-behaved for Dan.
• When our flight landed, Evan (and Sean, but mostly Evan) wanted badly to see the pilot. Since we were at the back of the plane and waited for everyone else to get off before we did, Awesome Ronald called the pilot at the front of the plane to let them know there were two kids who wanted to meet them, to make sure the pilots stayed on board.
• The pilots did one better than that! They took Evan and Sean up to the cockpit, let them sit in the pilot seats, and one of the pilots put a hat on Sean!
