Ok, so... there I was on the elliptical at the Y, doing my thing during my lunch hour. Watching Miss Congeniality on the Kindle, gettin' my sweat on, minding my business... suddenly the branch director comes up to me and says, "Amy! I need a female for a commercial we're filming right now. Will you do it?"
What? Who, me? An actress? Why.... I didn't even wear my good athletic shoes.
They wanted to film a suspension training class (like in the picture) and I guess the current class only has guys in it. They wanted a couple women in the commercial as well. So I, along with another regular lunchtime work-outer, was asked if we could join for a few minutes while they film. Sure, why not. I've never done suspension training before but the worst that could happen is that I fall flat on my face, right?
I learned two things from this experience: (1) I'm a natural at acting, haha!; and (2) I really enjoyed suspension training! I have never taken that class -- it never looked interesting to me whenever I observed it. But when I was doing it, it was super fun! There is a very good chance I'll sign up for this class in January.
The commercial will be airing between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Autographs will be available during that time.
