The only button that doesn't work is the start button. All the other buttons work: I can set the settings just fine, but the settings do me no good if I can't actually start the thing! So I've been washing the dishes by hand like in the old days. Then today it dawned on me:
Delay start.
The button that lets me load the dishes & soap, but it won't actually start washing until two or four hours later.
That buttons works.
So today I loaded up the dishwasher, hit the 2-hour delay start button, and sure enough, two hours later, it started washing.
SCORE!
Still would be good to have the start button fixed, but in the meantime, I have a dishwasher again. WHOO HOOO!
