Evan, Evan, Evan.... what are we going to do with Evan?

Evan peed in his locker at school today. Yes. You read that right. He peed INSIDE his locker at school. We're not exactly sure when he did it -- it might've been just before I got there to pick him up, or it might've been while I was there talking to one of the teachers at pick-up time. We just don't know.

What I do know is that he peed in his locker. And he told me about it with the same matter-of-factness that he uses to tell me about his day. Kinda like, "Hi Mom! Today I played with puzzles, sung some songs, took a nap, and peed in my locker. So what's for dinner?"

I thought he was kidding at first when he told me. He likes to joke around, and that's something he'd joke about. But he wasn't kidding.

He really did pee in his locker.

To be honest, the teachers and I were laughing almost to the point of tears when we concluded he was serious. I mean.... who does that?

Dan, however, was less than amused. When we asked Evan why he did it, the only answer(s) we could get out of him were, "Because I did," and "I don't know." (Neither of which was acceptable to Dan, but I highly doubt we'll get anything more substantial out of a 3-year old because I believe he really doesn't know why he did it.

Anyway, Evan is now officially potty trained, tree trained, and locker trained. Next up: kitchen sinks.

And on a somewhat related side note, we've been putting Evan to bed in underwear for over a week now. This is a hard thing because Sean is not ready for underwear at night, and he's not understanding why Evan gets to wear underwear while he still has to wear a Pull-Up. He's doing better at accepting it now though. I've assured Sean that he's done nothing wrong, he's not a baby, he's not in trouble. Some people just sleep really, really deeply and don't know they have to pee. When I told him his mommy was the exact same way at his age, he felt much better..... (I feel your pain, sweet boy, I truly do. *sigh*)
