On Saturday morning, I got up and, after breakfast, washed a sink full of dishes by hand...

...for the last time.

Because I got my dishwasher this weekend! True story, I now have a dishwasher! See?!

The boys & I hung out at my Mom's Saturday for a few hours while Dan practically demolished the kitchen putting in the dishwasher. We lost one cupboard and one drawer -- totally worth it! I haven't used it yet because... well... we didn't think to buy any dishwasher soap for it (!). But dang it! I have a dishwasher!

This morning after everyone was up & around, Dan had a mission. It was to go to Toys R Us to hunt down Star Wars Angry Birds merchandise. (On a side note: I'm fairly certain I'm gonna have to take out a loan against my 401K to support Dan's "Star Wars Meets Angry Birds" enthusiasm.... but dang it! He got me a dishwasher, I can't exactly tell him no, hahaha!)

The only thing he found was the Death Star Jenga game, which he promptly bought. The boys played it this afternoon. I must admit, it's fun! And Evan was probably better at it than any of us, no joke!

Debinkification update: Debinking Evan has been significantly easier than it was for Sean. And it's not like Sean was that difficult, so that's saying a lot! He doesn't ask for it anymore at night. He just goes down like usual. A couple nights he was up late (as in 8:30-8:45ish) talking/singing, but mostly he's quiet and I think he falls asleep like he always did.

Saturday, however, found us all up at 6:30am because Evan was in there yelling, "Mommy! Mommy!" (aka: "I'm done sleeping, can I get up now?!"). Haven't seen pre-7am on the weekend in a loooooong time, so I wasn't at all prepared for it. And his Saturday afternoon nap at my Mom's was unusually short & restless for him. But this morning, we didn't hear him until his normal time -- 7:45ish. He had a rough time falling asleep for today's nap, but he did eventually cash out and sleep like an hour & a half.

So overall, I think he's officially debinked. I scoured his room today searching for more rogue plugs (found one under his crib that fell back there who-knows-when?), and now I'm 99.9% they're gone.

Next up: Decribification (WAAAAHHHH!!! Once the crib is gone, that's it for any semblance of baby he has left in him. Then what?!). That will probably be next month sometime...
