While Evan chilled at Pat's all day yesterday, Dan, Sean, and I were running around town like crazy people. Our day went kinda like..... well, like this:
  • Drop Evan off at Pat's
  • Drop Daddy's car off at the mechanic to fix the air conditioner, which recently decided to start blowing hot air (!)
  • Daddy takes me & Sean home, then goes into work for about an hour
  • 10am -- Sean's kindergarten orientation (which was really just a 30 minute meeting with his teacher and he was the only kid there).
  • Mechanic calls with bad news. Baaaaaaad news. We thought the a/c just needed to be recharged. We were not prepared for it to need a whole new air compressor. Ouch, ouch, ouch! 
  • Yesterday's high = 100 degrees. Today's high = much the same. 
  • Gave mechanic authorization to fix a/c.
  • Started school clothes and supply shopping with the info we received from orientation and a 30% off Kohls coupon I received in the mail last week. Impeccable timing!
  • Ate lunch at Olive Garden. Weight Watchers sabotage, and that's all I'm going to say about that. But it was a lovely lunch for the three of us.
  • Sean had his first eye doctor appointment yesterday afternoon. His eyes are perfectly healthy (yay!). They were unable to confirm whether or not Sean has any level of color deficiency. When they were doing the color-blind tests, he wasn't seeing numbers where numbers clearly existed. But then again some of them were really hard, even for me to see anything. And it's possible he just gave up after awhile....  I don't know. But the doctor has zero concerns about his abilities to grasp visual information during his Kindergarten year and there is no need for any type of corrective lenses. So YAY! We'll address the color blind thing at his appointment next year. 
  • Picked up Evan from Pat's.
  • Fed boys dinner.
  • Went to the Y and did some running.
  • Home, shower, bed. 
This morning, Dan had to chauffeur the boys & me to daycare & work, and I was able to hitch a ride to the garage to pick up his car after work. I loves me some air conditioning.....
