You know how the dad in that movie -- Gus -- he swears that "every ailment from psoriasis to poison ivy can be cured with Windex?"
Well, that's pretty much how I feel about Aquaphor.
Several weeks ago, my friend Jill actually wrote a whole blog post about Aquaphor. How much she loves it, how versatile it is.... all that stuff. And I responded to her post, explaining how Aquaphor is my "Windex."
Because seriously, it is!!
When I was pregnant with Evan, I developed a wart on the top of my big toe. It didn't hurt, it was just annoying. I kept telling myself that eventually I'd make time to get to the podiatrist to get it removed, but anyone who has two children knows how that whole "eventually" thing works.
One evening, that toe became very dried out and cracked (it was gross, I won't explain further), so I slathered on some Aquaphor and covered it with a bandage for the night. I repeated the following night with the intention of calling the podiatrist "soon."
I have no clue when it happened, but I kid you not, that wart went away!! It's gone! I had no idea warts could go away on their own! Who needs duct tape when you got Aquaphor?
Aquaphor is awesome for dry skin, eczema, diaper rash, cuticles, feet, hands, elbows (anyone hearing ♫ "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes..." ♫). It's the only stuff I can use on one kid's face and the other kid's hiney (can you say "diaper rash?").
Also, with spring in full bloom, my poor dry lips are totally loving the Aquaphor Lip Repair, which I only recently learned about. Of course I'm fighting Sean for it....
Anyway....
Where I'm going with this is that the Aquaphor people discovered Jill's blog post from a few weeks ago (for which she was not compensated) as well as my response (for which I was not compensated), and asked us both if we would like to participate in a promotion where we could do a review on our blogs in exchange for Aquaphor products and a gift card,
AND!!!
We get to give away a FREE Aquaphor prize package containing a 1.75 ounce tube of Aquaphor healing ointment, an Aquaphor Lip Repair, and a $50 Visa gift card!!!!
Ummm... YES!! Sign me up!!!!
So my review is this: Aquaphor ROCKS! (see above, haha!).
To enter the drawing, you must leave me some bloggy love here in the comments! It can be anything, but I'd love to hear how you use and love Aquaphor if you do!! I will leave comments on until 9:00pm tomorrow (Thursday, April 19th). I will draw the winner at random tomorrow night using Random.org at 9pm(ish) and post it on my blog.
And go on over to Jill's blog for another chance to win, because she was given the same giveaway opportunity!!! Two chances to win!!
While you're at it, might as well go check out the Aquaphor Facebook page too!!
I'm so excited to be hosting my first ever giveaway!! I love giving away free stuff!!
EDITED TO ADD: I know sometimes Blogger gets glitchy depending on the browser you're using, so if you find that you are unable to leave a comment on the blog due to a glitch, feel free to email me at seansmom07 at gmail dot com, and I'll post an entry for you :-).
==============================
You must be 18 years old and a US resident to qualify for the prize. After the drawing, I will try to contact you through your blog if you have one. If not, you'll need to contact me to provide your address information to have the cool Aquaphor dude send your prize package
In full disclosure, I have been compensated by the makers of Aquaphor for this review: A tube of Aquaphor Healing Ointment, a tube of Aquaphor Lip Repair, and a $50 Visa Gift Card -- the same prize package they are allowing me to give away today!! But anyone who knows me knows that I would never write anything here that I don't believe to be true, and I certainly wouldn't accept compensation from a product or company I didn't believe in! Anyone know how I can get in touch with the Mt. Dew people? Hahaha!
