Plus, I knew it was being made into a movie and I wanted to read the book before the movie.
I have no clue what caused me to decide to read it again, but last week, I picked it up and started it again. And now I can't hardly put the thing down. How does that work anyway? It's not like the book changed between the last time I read it and now. But now, that's what I've been doing with my evenings instead of blogging. I'm re-reading Hunger Games because the movie is being released in a few weeks, and I definitely want to see it. It's no Twilight in my opinion, but it certainly piques my fascination this second time around. I might even read the other two books in the trilogy at some point.

Yesterday I went to PF Changs for lunch with Mom, Grandma, Aunt Janet, Cathy, and a nice friend of Mom's named Chris. I haven't been there in a really, really long time and it was just as awesome as I remembered. The six of us shared a Great Wall of Chocolate dessert -- passed the sucker right around the table and took turns eating from it. I totally wish I'd gotten a "before" photo, but here's a "during" picture:.
The only thing left on the plate when we were finished were a few blueberries -- because who the heck needs the healthy stuff when there's chocolate to be had?

Dan got his car back from the shop last Friday, which is good. But I think there are still a few minor tweaks that need to be done to it. And I think he's ready to unload it amid all its post-wreck imperfections. Then again it could be just his general vehicular restlessness too -- he seems to like a new car every few years as some people do. Who knows? But I'm taking bets as to how long that CRV will be parked in our driveway at this point, haha!
