Sean started piano lessons tonight! My cousin happens to be married to a music teacher, who happens to teach piano lessons in their home, which happens to be less than two miles from my home. Convenient! And very lucky for Sean & me because this guy is talented, and very good with kids.
On the way to my cousin's house, Sean confessed, "Mommy, I'm nervous." I attempted to calm his nerves by assuring him that this is a private lesson, he is the only student, and I'm going to stay with him the whole time. But he was a nervous wreck anyway and he refused to leave the entryway when we first got there. Eventually he loosened up and went to the piano, and Chris gently started his first lesson.

After a half hour, Sean was very into it! He actually asked on the way home,
"Mommy, can I do another piano lesson tomorrow?" And before bed, he told me he really liked learning about the piano and wondered if we could get more piano books. I know it's just the first lesson, but I still have a sneaking suspicion that he's going to become very good at this, and really love it!
