Sean and I went to Kerry's last night for what has become our annual NYE sleepover. It was fun, as usual. We didn't seem to consume near the amount of Dew we have in previous years, but we gorged ourselves on yummy pizza and snacks. We watched Pitch Perfect and Silver Linings Playbook while the boys (Colin had a friend stay the night too so there were four boys) mostly played video games. Whoever thinks video games are mindless and quiet, clearly hasn't met our boys. They were LOUD and active. They didn't sit still for two seconds and they were yelling and screaming and laughing (and sometimes arguing). They had a blast!
The boys all made it till midnight, although Sean was definitely running on fumes by then. After we got them situated in bed, Kerry & I continued "partying" until after 1am, playing our video games and finishing our movie (and talking about how happy we are to be in our pajamas in a quiet house and not out at a bar on NYE -- are we getting old?)

And for the cherry on top of the first day of the year....
SPARTANS WON THE 100th ROSE BOWL!!!! I couldn't breathe much for the last several minutes of the game, but we won, dang it! (Now Dan & I are sitting here patiently, kind of waiting to see if he gets called into work for the purpose of putting out burning couches & stuff....)
