For Christmas, the boys received Amazon gift cards from Grandpa Bob, which is fun because it prolonged Christmas for them. One thing they ended up getting with their gift money was some Brookstone kinetic sand. Colin and Jackson had gotten some for Christmas and Sean got to play with it one day. This stuff is SO. COOL! It was delivered Friday and the boys spent well over an hour that evening just playing in the sand, until they had to clean it up to eat dinner. And they've played with it a several times since. Whomever invented this stuff in a freakin' genius!  (they already had the sand toys)

Evan also received a Melissa & Doug police costume for Christmas from Mom. Melissa & Doug makes some seriously awesome stuff, and their costumes are no exception. Super high quality, fun props. Well, that costume ended up being a big hit with both kids, so with some of the Amazon money, the boys also got three more Melissa & Doug costumes: a fire fighter, a construction worker, and a train engineer.

It's really fun to watch them play together, being creative and using their imaginations. They get along quite well for the most part, and I often hear Evan say (and I quote!): "We're brothers and best friends, right Sean?" Or Sean will say it to Evan.
