At around 2:30pm Thursday afternoon, I received a call from my neighbor. I knew exactly why he was calling (at least I hoped I knew why he was calling). I was right: our power had been restored after about 4-1/2 days without it. YAY!!!  So Dan returned home on Thursday night, but the boys and I stayed with Mom that night anyway since everything was there. I stopped home Thursday after work to grab some things and it was already 58 degrees in the house. Dan said it was 67 by the time he got home that evening. Ahhhh, much better!

Friday, I worked from my heated home for a half day, before picking the boys up for their yearly doctor appointments (to be documented in a different post). Then we went directly from the doctor's office, to pick up Aunt Janet, and we went to Indianapolis for the night. Because, you know, the boys hadn't had enough excitement and chaos over the past week -- it was totally brilliant for me to take them 3-1/2 hours out of town, hahaha!

It was a fun visit though. Poor Evan was at the end of his rope so he was extremely whiny & clingy for the most part, but he got through it. He even fell asleep in the car for almost two hours on the way home! Evan hardly ever sleeps in the car! Sean did marvelous the whole time because he's just flexible that way.

Tonight, the boys are in their own beds for the first time since last Saturday night. Same for me. This is gonna be wonderful!

Here are a few pics from the trip. I have more (pics from my phone are on the Dropbox already), but will have to post the rest tomorrow or Monday.

The neighbor's house. This is spectacular!

Having some fun
