Yes, it's only November. But Santa gets busy in December, he does. And since he has some down time to visit the local dime store this afternoon, we thought we'd go say hello.
He even brought two of his reindeer (Joy and Clarice -- the lesser known of Santa's sleigh leaders -- they fill in for Donner & Blitzen from time to time).
Sean did awesome for his first solo sleepover last night! He's stayed with Jackson before, but I was always there for my own sleepover. But last night, he said goodbye to Evan and me, and off we went. When I texted Kerry after I'd gotten Evan into bed, she said he was doing great.
Evan, on the other hand, didn't do so well with it. When we got in the car to leave, he asked why he couldn't stay the night with Colin & Jackson too. He asked, "Was I bad?" Awwwww, no baby, you weren't bad. (He was actually REALLY good the whole evening -- all the kids were!). Then as we were driving home, he said, almost tearfully, "Mommy let's go back and get Sean. I like him!"
I think he thought Sean was staying there forever.
This morning, when Evan woke up (which was like 8:30!!), his first words were, "Are we gonna get Sean today?!" (Then, of course, they spent the majority of the evening fighting because that's just how they roll)
