The boys' school pictures came back this week. Sean's were done by a different school picture company than the local schools typically use, and I'm incredibly disappointed with them -- not because of the picture itself, but because of the overall quality. The prints are seriously no better than what I could print on my own printer at home! Their dpi SUCKS -- you can actually see the dots! Plus, it's almost glaringly obvious that they took his picture against a green screen, then superimposed it onto the backdrop. It screams "photoshopped!" Ugh. But it is what it is, and there's nothing I can do about it, so I bought them. I think the school was trying to save the families some money because the Geskus prices were definitely lower than Lifetouch, but this is truly a case of  "you get what you pay for."

Evan's, on the other hand, were done by Lifetouch and I LOVE them! I love the picture, I love the quality, I love everything about it! And I'll happily pay the higher prices for the excellent quality.

(I didn't end up watching Elf last night like I said I wanted to, so I'm watching it right this very minute. Love this time of year!)
